Reciprocity and equilibrium

You saw the figure leave the frame, then return. Out, then back in. Your reading traced the shape of an exchange: something goes out, something comes back. You tend to notice what flows between people and whether it is roughly even. Most people have to learn to see this. For you it may simply be how you read a room, a relationship, a moment.

How this tends to show up:

You are often the first to sense when a friendship has gone one-sided, or when something is off in a dynamic at work or at home, often before you can say why. Equilibrium is what you are always, quietly, tracking. The cost is that the tracking rarely switches off. Some relationships are meant to be uneven for a season, a parent and a young child, a friend in crisis, and the ledger can make those harder to give yourself to.

A practical example: You and a colleague share a project. Early on, you notice you are carrying more of it. You say nothing, adjust a little, and keep count. Months later it comes out all at once, and the other person is surprised it was there at all. What you did with that early feeling, whether you named it, adjusted, or absorbed it, says as much about you as the perception itself.

Worth sitting with:

Is the exchange you're in the one you actually chose, or the one you fell into?

Your reading can change. Take it again in a few months and see.
